Loctite 5921 - flat gasket, 200 g

Loctite 5921 is a top-quality fast-drying dark brown paste used as a flat gasket for engines or gearboxes, but also as a thread sealant for pipes, fittings, and bolted joints for gaps over 0.25 mm. Loctite 5921 is a synthetic resin with a viscosity similar to molasses, which forms a semi-elastic film after curing (solvent evaporation).

The resulting semi-flexible seal is excellently usable as an additional sealing to conventional solid material gaskets wherever the following is required:

• resistance to cold and hot water and steam,
• firm sealing of pipe and bolted joints,
• resistance to antifreeze mixtures, weak alkalis, and acids,
• gasket sealing resistant to chemicals, gasoline, kerosene, lubricants, and petroleum products.

The fast-drying resin adhesive Loctite 5921 is used for repairs and bonding uneven surfaces and such connections where disassembly is not required under normal circumstances, typically as sealing in the automotive industry, sealing of connectors, for permanent assemblies of threaded pipe joints, sealing of air conditioning systems, high-pressure water pipes, etc.
