The special Belzona 9811 Alumina tiles are designed to protect the surface of various materials against abrasion. Abrasion is mechanical wear, which is of course undesirable. The Belzona 9811 Alumina tiles are made from extremely fine and pure microcrystals primarily of aluminum oxide. To ensure that the tiles are truly highly resistant, these crystals were bonded together at very high temperatures. Together, the tiles form a really effective protective system against abrasion. They are applied directly to the substrate material you want to protect, and then the tiles need to be grouted with Belzona materials.
