Description
Description
- Application: Used for lubrication of metal/metal friction surfaces in high-temperature areas, most commonly for threaded joints. Suitable for applications with low speeds, high temperatures, and corrosive environments where a permanently low coefficient of friction is required. It is also applied as a lubricant for electrically conductive components. Successfully used for lubricating screws on steam and gas turbines or turbochargers of diesel engines, as well as on flange joints in the chemical industry.
- Properties: Usable over a wide temperature range, allows for trouble-free disassembly after a long time at high temperatures, high load-bearing capacity due to the permanent coefficient of friction, achieving precise tightening torques on threaded joints, good corrosion protection, good electrical conductivity.
- Example of use: Lubrication of honing head joints using Klüber Staburags NBU 12 grease
