The Loctite SI 5970 silicone is specially designed for sealing various joints between materials, including dissimilar ones. It exhibits very fast curing, achieving handling strength in approximately 15 minutes under good conditions, after which the bond can withstand even moderate pressure. Once cured, it can resist very high temperatures up to 300 °C. We recommend using Loctite SI 5970 for quick emergency sealing repairs on thermal sources, such as heat exchangers, heat transfer piping, and more. It also shows very good resistance to oils, making it suitable for applications such as sealing oil pan sheets.
