Description
A special highly resistant oil-proof silicone-based gasket, this is the Loctite SI 5699 flat gasket. We recommend using it wherever the gasket is in permanent contact with water or glycol. It perfectly seals metal, plastic, or painted parts. It creates a thin tight joint between them, preventing the leakage or penetration of liquids while also preventing direct contact between flange surfaces, thus avoiding contact corrosion. A typical application of the Loctite SI 5699 flat gasket is, for example, in gearboxes or engine covers. Once cured, the gasket is highly resistant to fluids and heat up to 200 °C, is stable, and achieves good longevity.
