Loctite 586 - 250 ml Thread Sealant VP

The Loctite 586 thread sealant is a liquid sealant suitable for use on brass and other metals. It is definitely not recommended for use on plastics and similar materials. It is used to seal the threads of pipes and fittings, where it cures in the joint between two metal surfaces, sealing the connection. Loctite 586 is primarily used as a thread sealant against water, but also against oil and other common organic liquids. Once cured, it seals the connection and protects it against leakage or loosening, which often occurs due to shocks and vibrations – Loctite 586 is highly resistant to these. The Loctite 586 liquid sealant can be used up to a temperature of 150 °C; beyond that, it cannot withstand the temperature and irreversible damage occurs.
