Loctite 5188 - 300ml Gasket Maker

Loctite 5188 is a highly flexible anaerobic gasket maker. It is designed for use on rigid metal flange joints, such as those found in gearbox housings or engine crankcases, especially where flanges may be slightly contaminated with oil. It tolerates micro-movements on highly stressed flanges. Loctite 5188 cures in the thin gap between metal surfaces in the absence of air and is particularly suitable for use on aluminum surfaces, where it achieves very good adhesion. It also withstands low pressure immediately after assembly and flange installation (instant sealing capability). Loctite 5188 can be applied either manually or automatically using suitable dispensing equipment.
